How my writing skills have changed

It’s great that we live in the era of technology nowadays, because there have been many things which I’ve learned this year using my computer and smartphone and I’ve successfully implemented them into my projects and essays, making them more structuralized and logical.
First things first, I’ve had a wonderful opportunity to improve my writing skills this year. Writing has always been my weak side as I considered the handwriting method to be an obsolete one. Thus, such an essential aspect of the English language didn’t elicit my interest at all and that is why I hated writing huge essays. However, everything changed when it was announced that I would work on my writing skills using technology. I realized then how great, fast and convenient it would be to study in such an entertaining way!
Secondly, this course allows me to put a lot of words that I’ve previously learned into practice!  The method of memorizing lexis by using it in essays results in enriching my vocabulary. In addition, not only is the interface of the blog I use colourful and stylish, but also I can easily read my works any time I’d like to because they are all kept on my page and I don’t have to flip through tons of pages in my notebook searching for the particular essay. Not to mention a huge advantage of this course which is the opportunity to receive a quick feedback from our teacher. Previously, I had to wait quite a considerable amount of time for the lesson, which was once a week, to have my essay checked, but now I can message the teacher via WhatsApp or I can see their feedback in the comments section on my blog page.
Thirdly, it helped me to identify my strong and weak sides. Although my writing skills are yet far from the ones I am eager to achieve, I still have a zest for constant enhancement of my skills so that one day I could be fully satisfied with myself. Unfortunately, my inattentiveness occasionally results in mistakes, but it’s not really much of a problem, as I truly believe that by practicing, dedicating yourself to work hard anything can be achieved.
All things considered, I am deeply thankful for the course. I experienced lots of ups and downs, learned how important it is to stick to the structure of the essay, so that it can be written in a more sophisticated, eloquent, and refined way. Thank you for the priceless gift we all now have – the advanced level of writing!

Your essay a good undersatnding of what you should pay attention to when writing and how to do it. It is written really well with sufficient development of the arguments and their support. It is logical and consistent. It's also well-written from the points of view of the language use and the mechnics. Congratulations! I hope that you will continue to improve your writing skills in the future and wish you good luck with it. The Financier

The Financier I chose to read a novel 'The Financier' written by Theodore Dreiser. Honestly, I had a choice to make: to read Martin Eden (the book which I had already read in Russian) or to read the Financier which was  completely new  book to me. I decided to give it a go and start reading the Financier. It's important to mention that I enjoy reading such books as they encourage their readers to act like the main characters, to achieve their own success through constant struggles and adversities. The book cover doesn't contain a lot of info about the plot. It only briefly tells a reader about the author(1). 'The Financier' is based on real-life of streetcar tycoon whose real name was Charles Yerkes.  I reckon the main theme of the book is competition or, to put it in another way, a financial war. It symbolizes Frank's determination in gaining his goals and his desire to have an upper hand over everyone competing with him. He wants total domination

Semester work assignment #1

Russia-Ukraine: tentative progress at first talks for three years The topic I’ve chosen is connected to the Russian-Ukrainian issue that’s been unresolved for 5 years since the Crimea incident. The question is very controversial and the relationships between the two countries were tense, and situation still has not changed so far these days. I'd like to consider two periods in its development: what happened before the meeting and after it. It is necessary to say a few words about a certain period importance of this event The majority of European countries and the USA still consider Russian annexation of Crimea as an illegal action towards Ukraine. As an immediate response to Russia, lots of them imposed their sanctions on the Russian Federation which then resulted in the deterioration of the situation.  Thus, Russia was expelled from the G8 for such inappropriate behavior which led to the rapid decrease in influence of the country on the world stage. In addition, in 2014, a m

Blog#3 Room 101

In my opinion, the Room 101 must contain the World's most global problems. Hopelessness, wars, diseases. I have put this words in such an order to demonstrate how one thing breeds another.  Hopelessness. A great example of hopelessness  is Adolf Hitler. If we take a look at this historical person at a different angle, we can observe that his actions were caused by his dreams not being embodied. To put it differently, his dream to become a painter was ruined because of one failed attempt to enter the university. Consequently, failure led him to the point where he desperately tried a number of options, opportunities that life offered him. After some time,Hitler was not fully satisfied with his life's achievements which resulted in  hopelessness. Thus, the Second World War broke out. Wars. I think I don't reinvent the wheel by stating that wars are the most horrible things in the world. Wars are full of hatred, violence, cruelty, blood, famine, etc. Throughout the history,
